I’ve just recorded my final No Nay Never podcast, and want to offer a quick thanks to all our readers and listeners for the last 7 or 8 years.

I helped start No Nay Never back in 2010. We were a group of Clarets fans who met on Twitter and wanted a place for quality discussion without the 140-character limit. When we realised that place didn’t exist, we built it.

Since then, I’ve written, edited and published countless opinion pieces; broken massive news; tweeted far too many GIFs; directed a special derby-day film, been on the actual telly, launched a fantastic podcast; appeared on, hosted, and edited almost 200 episodes; fronted a live special; and helped to shift and evolve NNN several times.

Probably the No Nay Never production I’m most proud of is our LGBT special podcast. If you haven’t listened, please do.

All of this was possible because of our awesome followers, readers, listeners and contributors. Thank you — all of you — for making it such an awesome experience. We’ve not always agreed, but that’s what makes something like No Nay Never so important — it’s a wide platform to share and debate diverse opinions.

I’m stepping away as part of a simplification of my life. I’ve felt for a while like I’ve been spinning loads of plates — juggling loads of different things and trying to contain the chaos. Instead I want to just hold one or two plates, solidly and calmly. I’m making sure I’ve got more time to focus on friends and family, appreciating the things that mean the most to me.

And I couldn’t do that without the full confidence and belief in the NNN team I’m leaving behind. I can’t wait to be an avid listener, instead of an avid talker.

Special thanks to Adam, Natalie and James, as well as to Jamie and everyone else who has been part of the NNN team over the past 7 or so years.

And it’s No Nay Never,
No Nay Never no more….
